John has worked as a director since the early 90’s working on a variety of projects. After working for Factory Records and providing visuals and lightshows for the legendary Hacienda nightclub in Manchester he moved into directing music videos for a wide and diverse range of artists. 

 

He formed the production company Swivel Films and made over 100 videos for acts such as James, Texas, 808 State, M-People, Wet Wet Wet, Squeeze, Louise, Annie Lennox, Bob Geldof, Mansun, The Tindersticks, Barry Adamson, The Corrs, Charlotte Church  etc.  

 

In 2001 John started directing commercials and joined Will Van der Vlugt Film Productions shooting spots in London and Europe. In 2004 he joined Manifesto Films in London and directed the Nissan commercial for Japan. Recent work includes spots for Canon, Powerade (Coca Cola), Philips and Toyota.
